Air freight is chosen over sea freight almost entirely for one reason: speed. But “fast” still covers a range depending on the route, the airline, and whether cargo flies direct or connects through another hub.
What Drives the Transit Time
A direct flight from a major Chinese city to Dhaka is naturally quicker than a routing that transships through a regional hub. Airline schedules, available cargo capacity on a given flight, and customs processing on arrival all factor into the total door-to-door time as well, not just the flight itself.

Why It's Still Not an Exact Science
Even air cargo can be delayed by customs processing on either end, by space constraints during high-demand periods, or by ground handling at busy airports. Treat any transit estimate as a planning guide rather than a guarantee, and build in a small buffer for anything time-critical.
